17 Again is a movie about a father who has two teenage kids who don't really like him too much. The father is being be divorced by his wife. The father goes back to his high school where his kids attend to now. He runs into this "janitor" and talks about his past years. The father, Mike, and his wife, Scarlet, dated in their high school years. As seniors, they made a mistake and ended up with a child in the half of the year. They graduated but their life didn't go as they had planned. Mike wanted to get a basketball scholarship but he gave it up for Scarlet. They had their first child which was a girl, Maggie. Soon came along Alex. Mike wasn't getting higher up in his job and ended up getting fired by his own cousin. The janitor asks him if he would like to go back and do it all over again. Mike says that he would like to but doesn't expect it happening. One night Mike goes for a drive through the rain and goes over a bridge. While looking out the window he sees the janitor on top of the ledge of the bridge. Mike stops the car and gets out while yelling at the janitor to get down. The janitor supposedly jumps off the bridge and Mike runs to where he was. He stands there looking into the water and sees a whirlpool starting to form. Mike falls into it and wakes up walking home, his friend from high school's home. He gets there and looks in the mirror and notices that he looks like he did when he was 17. Mike's friend, Ned, wakes up and walks out thinking there is someone in the house other than Mike. They end up fighting but Ned finally realizes that it's actually Mike. They talk about what has happened and can't seem to figure out how he got to look like a 17 year old again. Mike decides that he should go back to high school and play basketball again. He goes back, makes friends with his son who eventually finds out that he's actually his father, and Mike and his son both make the basketball team. Mike comes by to the house to see Scarlet but pretends to see Alex. While going back to high school, he sees how his children actually are. Maggie dates a jerk basketball player. Alex gets picked on by the basketball team. Mike goes in, helps Alex out, and makes Maggie realize how stupid it is to date the jerk of a basketball player. Scarlet is still planning to go through with this divorce although Mike has been a little busy with his back to high school life. Being sentenced to court for the divorce, Mike goes in and spills his heart out to Scarlet speaking for his former adult self. After a few basketball games, the same scout that showed up to see Mike 17 years ago comes back to scout him out once again. Scarlet was there and once Mike did a hand gesture that proved he was the real Mike, she got up and left just like she did in the past. Mike drops the ball and runs after. While he runs back after her, he turns back to his adult self. Showing that history repeated itself, Scarlet and Mike quit the divorce and live their lives happy again. Guess he made the right decision after all.

The Notebook
The Notebook is a romantic movie. This movie shows how two people fell in love. Years ago from now, two people met each other at a fair. The girl's name was Allie, and the boy's name was Noah. He begged her to go on a date with him. She finally says yes. It took a little bit for them to actually connect, and Allie finally realized the good in Noah. The inseparable couple spent their whole summer together. One night they wandered off to an abandoned house. They showed each other how much they trusted and loved one another. They were soon interrupted by Noah's friend, Fin. Fin tells them Allie's parents are going crazy wondering where she is. Police were involved, and she gets home as soon as she can. Being that it's really late in the night, Allie's parents yell at her. They tell Allie that she shouldn't be seeing Noah. She runs out of the room to find Noah in his car about to leave. Noah told Allie that it was over. They broke up especially because she was going to college out of state. Noah promised to himself that he would write to Allie each day for one year. He kept his promise hoping that Allie would write back. She didn't. After the 365th day, he quit writing. He worked with his friend Fin and fixed up the abandoned house that him and Allie were in that one night. That night they were together, Allie told Noah exactly how she would've wanted the house to look. Remembering what she said, he made the house look exactly as she wanted. Allie, being in college, ended up going into the medical field. She helped this one guy, Lon, who told her he wanted to take her out on a date. After Lon recovered, he stood against his car and watched Allie and her friend walk by. He stopped her and told her, "How about that date?" They spent a lot of time together which resulted to him proposing to her. Allie's parents liked Lon mostly because he had a good future and he was rich. Allie went to try on her wedding dress one day. She looked at the newspaper and fainted when seeing a picture of Noah in front of the abandoned house which he made to look exactly as she wanted. She realized she needed to see Noah. Allie told Lon she'd be going out of town for a little bit. She drove all the way to the house to see Noah. They talked and argued, as usual. One afternoon they go on a canoe and its starts to pour down rain. They row back to the dock and she asks, "Why didn't you write?" Noah tells her, "I did write. I wrote each day for a year." They kiss and find their way back home. They were and always would be crazy about each other. Allie's mom stops by while Allie is sitting at the house alone. Her mother takes her to a place where the guy Allie's mom used to be crazy about worked. Allie's mother's story was quite similar to Allie's now. Allie's mother admits to keeping all the letters Noah wrote her. Noah and Allie couldn't leave each other. They couldn't let go of what all they had. Way in the future, Allie ends up having Alzheimer's. Noah told the story of their life back then to her every day, as she wished. She would remember who he was at times. Noah snuck into Allie's room where she was sleeping and he lies with her. For that last moment they had together, she remembered. The nurse comes in to find both of them passed away together.
Hopefully, love like this can happen to everyone.

Mean Girls
Mean Girls is a movie not so much for children but for teenagers in high school. Mean Girls is a movie about a homeschooled girl who has never been to a normal school. Every school pretty much has cliques. This school is quite divided. Cady goes to this big public school and meets two people who treat her as a friend. The Plastics who are the hot, snobby, rich girls invite Cady to their lunch table. Cady and her two friends end up sabotaging the main girl of the clique, Regina. Every one is eventually turning their backs on others. They talk about each other and so much more. Bullying is going all around this school, hurting so many people. Their ends up being a book written by the Plastics which in revenge, Regina turns in to the principal of the school. Regina makes copies of each and every page which she throws all around the school. Every girl is fighting with one another. In the end, people confess to something they didn't do, people are hurt mentally and physically, and soon enough the girls relax their problems. They sort things out at the Spring Fling when Cady becomes the Spring Fling Queen and makes a speech to all the girls. In the end, not many people stayed in the same cliques. Especially the Plastics who separated into different cliques. I recommend seeing this movie while in high school because it shows how bullying and gossip spreads throughout a school. Also how it can hurt so many people in different ways.

Taken
Taken is more of a horror movie. It starts off as a daughter asking to go to Paris with her friend for her eighteenth birthday. The father is a little on edge about this decision, but he ends up saying yes. The moment the girls get to Paris and try to find a taxi, a man in his twenties asks if they need help finding out where to go. Bad mistake. They get to their destination which now the man knows where they're staying. Not to long after they get in their room, the eighteen year old daughter goes to the restroom, while her nineteen year old friend is dancing to very loud music. The bathroom window ables you to see across the house. The daughter looks at her friend and in seconds they're are men grabbing her and taking her with them. The daughter is on the phone with her father and he tells her exactly what to do. The men end up finding the girl and kidnap her as well. The father travels there and finds clues as to how to find his daughter and her friend. The friend was drugged and raped, which lead to death. The father finds his daughter and gets her before anything bad happens to her. The point of this movie is to show you, you should never talk or interact with strangers, especially in a foreign country. I like the storyline of this movie and how it shows what could happen in a situation that involves strangers.

High School Musical is a good movie that I used to like watching. I haven't seen this movie in a while. This movie can relate to a lot of high schoolers. This is a sequel and I liked it because I could partially relate to it. Although, this is a public school and I'm in private school, it still had somewhat of similarities in it. The first High School Musical starts off with a new girl coming to this big high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Later on in the movie, the new girl and the star basketball player end up liking each other and do this outstanding musical together. The second movie of this sequel is a summer movie. All the previous stars in the first movie end up working at a higher end resort. The rich, pretty, popular girl in the high school is one of the annual guests there. They seem to do another musical for a talent show there. In the third and final movie, it's senior year for them. They're all making their decisions as for colleges and such. They all want to stay together but that doesn't end up happening. It all ends in a happy way. This movie is cute to watch, especially being in high school or in a relationship while in high school.

This movie is under the Horror category. Paranormal Activity has three movies out, and they are working on the fourth one which should be coming out sometime soon, i believe. I have watched these movies numerous times. I like movies that can make me jump. I love the thrill of horror movies. These movies can make you jump quite a bit. To summarize all these movies, they deal with something paranormal which is unknown as to where it might come from. Two generations so far have been struck with this activity. In the first paranormal it was a sister/daughter. The second it was the other sister/daughter. In the third, it happened to be the parents of the two sisters who were shown in the first and second movie. Paranormal Activity went backwards as to when it happened. I'm curious as to what the fourth one may be about, but until then, this is what Paranormal Activity 1, 2, and 3 are about.

This is my cousin, Lauren. The day this picture was taken was on the first day she came back down to Florida to visit her family during the summer. I miss my cousin so much. She's one of the closest people to me. We may not be blood related but we're close enough. I see her a couple times a year because she lives in New York. She's amazing to me and I hope I see her soon again. She's my twin, sister, and best friend. No one can replace her.
